About the Role
DET Consulting Limited is a leading Human Resource and Outsourcing solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations attract top talent and optimize their workforce. We are currently seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Technical Maintenance Officer to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and efficient operation of solar and renewable energy systems and equipment across our clients' project sites in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance on solar and renewable energy systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, solar, inverter, battery, and related technical faults promptly.
- Inspect, test, repair, and maintain solar PV systems, inverters, deep-cycle batteries, charge controllers, and balance-of-system components.
- Monitor system performance metrics closely and identify potential technical issues before they result in equipment failure.
- Respond swiftly to emergency equipment breakdowns and execute necessary on-site repairs to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections, compliance checks, and scheduled servicing on all installed solar energy infrastructure.
- Support engineering teams during the installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover of new renewable energy projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of hands-on technical maintenance experience within the solar, renewable energy, electrical, or power sector.
- Strong practical knowledge of solar PV sizing, inverter configurations, battery management systems, and safe electrical installations.
- Demonstrated ability to read technical schematics and resolve intricate faults efficiently under field conditions.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and technical reporting skills.
- Willingness to work extensively on-site and travel to various project locations nationwide when required.
