About the Role
KAYS Schools is a unique citadel of learning that is child-centered and provides a caring, serene, and Christian environment for pupils and students with diverse abilities. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Biology Teacher to join our committed team of educators in fostering academic excellence and scientific curiosity.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured Biology lessons in line with the approved school curriculum.
- Teach theoretical concepts and effectively supervise practical laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Develop comprehensive lesson notes, teaching aids, and schemes of work to meet rigorous academic standards.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal and external examinations including WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE.
- Monitor, assess, and evaluate student performance, providing constructive and regular feedback to learners and parents.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific curiosity among students through interactive learning.
- Organize and supervise science-related extracurricular activities, school projects, and academic competitions.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, stimulating learning environment aligned with the school's values.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.Sc, or B.A in Biology or a related scientific discipline (Postgraduate Diploma in Education is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven teaching experience in a reputable secondary school setting.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian and international curricula (WAEC, NECO, IGCSE).
- Strong passion for teaching with excellent classroom management and communication skills.
