About the Role
WaterBrooks College, a premier institution delivering world-class educational services across pre-nursery, nursery, primary, college, and advanced levels, is currently seeking a passionate and results-driven Biology Teacher. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in cultivating students' scientific curiosity and ensuring their academic excellence in life sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, comprehensive, and interactive Biology lessons to Senior Secondary School students in alignment with the Nigerian and British curricula.
- Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations including UTME (JAMB), WAEC (WASSCE), and NECO.
- Develop robust lesson plans, instructional materials, and formative assessments to track student progress and understanding.
- Provide targeted academic support and remediation for students requiring extra assistance in mastering biological concepts.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and continuous assessment scores in line with school policies.
- Foster a disciplined, inclusive, and stimulating laboratory and classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and inquiry.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, professional development programs, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.Sc. (Ed), or B.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of proven experience teaching Biology at the Senior Secondary School level with an impressive track record of WAEC/NECO/UTME results.
- Valid registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is an added advantage.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
