About the Role
Matrix International Academy, a leading private educational institution in Gombe State, Nigeria, is recruiting an experienced Biology Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary school team. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and well-structured Biology lessons to Secondary school students
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with both Nigerian and British curricula standards
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and scientific inquiry
- Assess student progress through continuous evaluation and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance science education delivery
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and attendance
- Participate in school activities and professional development programmes
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) with PGDE in Biology, or HND with PGDE in relevant field
- Minimum 2 years of proven teaching experience in secondary education
- TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certification is highly advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong classroom management abilities
- Passion for science education and student development
