About the Role
AIM Consultants Ltd, a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firm within the prestigious AIM Group, is seeking a highly organized, commercially minded, and results-driven Bids & Tenders Manager to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. With over four decades of excellence in planning, architecture, engineering, and project management across Nigeria, we are expanding our portfolio and strengthening our market position in the infrastructure and Oil & Gas sectors. In this pivotal role, you will take complete ownership of the full bid lifecycle—from identifying and assessing opportunities to preparing, reviewing, and submitting highly competitive proposals that secure major contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and evaluate relevant tender and bid opportunities across engineering, infrastructure, consulting, and the Oil & Gas sector.
- Manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring seamless coordination from initial tender review to final, timely submission.
- Prepare and coordinate high-quality technical and commercial proposals, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and prequalification documents.
- Develop compelling bid strategies, methodologies, and customized proposal content tailored specifically to client requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with technical, finance, and management teams to gather necessary inputs and ensure full compliance.
- Conduct thorough research on clients, competing firms, and market trends to strengthen the company's competitive advantage.
- Maintain a comprehensive and organized database of company credentials, past project references, and updated team CVs.
- Track proposal outcomes, analyze wins and losses, and implement improvements to continuously increase our tender win rate.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven experience in bid management, proposal development, or tender coordination.
- Demonstrated background in preparing successful bids for engineering consulting, construction, or major infrastructure projects.
- Exceptional proposal writing, editing, research, and project management capabilities with sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet stringent deadlines under pressure.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, for professional document preparation.
- Prior experience with Oil & Gas tendering, prequalification, and procurement procedures will be a distinct advantage.
