About the Role

Scruples Resources, a leading provider of consultancy services and human resource solutions for the Nigerian economy, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Construction Coordinator to join our expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee day-to-day construction activities, bridging the gap between various engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day construction activities to ensure safe, timely, and efficient execution of project work across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor construction progress against approved schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
  • Facilitate effective communication between Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and contractor teams.
  • Ensure required manpower, materials, equipment, and work fronts are fully prepared before construction commences.
  • Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and work packs to support seamless field execution.
  • Enforce compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, including Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Coordinate site inspections, testing, punch-list management, and final project handover activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant construction and project experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, or major industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities and managing contractor interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of QA/QC protocols, inspection processes, and project handover procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, SIMOPS, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management or scheduling software.
