About the Role
Craneburg Construction Company is one of Nigeria’s largest, most diversified private construction groups. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Batching Plant Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our concrete batching plant equipment and mechanical systems operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently to support our large-scale construction projects across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair concrete batching plant equipment and mechanical systems to ensure peak operational performance.
- Troubleshoot and rapidly resolve mechanical breakdowns to minimise costly project downtime.
- Conduct thorough preventive maintenance, routine inspections, lubrication, and servicing of all plant machinery.
- Maintain and repair essential components including mixers, conveyors, hoppers, water pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and complex hydraulic systems.
- Replace worn or damaged components proactively to guarantee long-term equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, keep detailed service records, and report major faults to management promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies as well as site safety requirements.
- Minimum of an OND or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
- Possess 3 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience in batching plant maintenance or heavy equipment servicing within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated strong mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to demanding construction site environments.
