About the Role
The Diocese of Evo Education Board is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Basic Technology Teacher to join our esteemed academic community in Obio-Akpor, Rivers State. As a principal administrative organ of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), we are committed to delivering academic excellence grounded in strong moral values. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the technical aptitude and innovative thinking of our students, preparing them for future technological advancements and national examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, well-structured Basic Technology lessons in accordance with the approved Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Prepare students effectively for internal examinations as well as external assessments such as WAEC and NECO.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualized support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to practical and theoretical learning.
- Participate actively in school extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs organized by the Board.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) in Basic Technology, Industrial Technology Education, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of verifiable teaching experience within a reputable educational institution.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience teaching and preparing senior secondary students for WAEC and NECO examinations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern pedagogical approaches and interactive teaching methods.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong passion for student mentorship.
