About the Role

Racham Humanitarian Academy, an initiative of the Racham Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation (REHF), is looking for a passionate and dedicated Basic Science Teacher to join our mission-driven team in Abuja. Operating alongside esteemed international partners such as World Challenge, we are committed to breaking the generational cycle of poverty by providing free basic education and practical skills training to orphans, youths, and vulnerable children in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Basic Science lessons tailored to the learning needs of orphans and vulnerable children.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualized support to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and administrative staff to develop and implement effective academic programs.
  • Integrate practical, hands-on scientific experiments and activities to make learning interactive and relatable.
  • Participate in community outreach, school events, and capacity-building workshops organized by the foundation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.Ed.), or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Exceptional fluency in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Previous teaching experience, particularly within community development or humanitarian educational settings, is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated passion for youth empowerment, education equity, and community service.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
