About the Role
Avonix Place, a premier restaurant and luxury lounge located in the upscale Victoria Garden City and Ajah area of Lekki, Lagos, is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Bartender to join our elite hospitality team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for our discerning clientele by crafting exceptional beverages and delivering top-tier service that aligns with our fine and casual dining standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails, signature drinks, and African-inspired creations, adhering to standard recipes.
- Welcome guests warmly, assess their preferences, make menu recommendations, and take drink orders accurately.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar area, ensuring all glassware, tools, and equipment are properly organized and maintained.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock efficiently, and report shortages to management in a timely manner.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions responsibly, operating the Point of Sale (POS) system with high accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations regarding food and beverage service.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, resolving any guest queries or complaints promptly and professionally.
- BSc, HND, or OND in any related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Proven work experience as a bartender in a reputable lounge, restaurant, or hotel setting within Lagos is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal relations and exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with high-end clientele.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to manage fast-paced situations efficiently.
