About the Role
Cedar Grillz & Lounge is a contemporary food and lifestyle destination offering delicious meals, premium grills, refreshing drinks, and a relaxed lounge experience. We are currently looking for a talented Bartender to join our dynamic team in Gwarinpa, Abuja, to help create memorable moments for our guests through speed, style, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and soft drinks adhering strictly to recipe, measurement, and garnish standards.
- Service guests at the bar counter and efficiently fulfill floor drink orders during peak operational hours.
- Greet customers warmly, offer expert drink recommendations, and build lasting rapport with regular patrons.
- Handle bar setup before operations and execute proper closing procedures at the end of every shift.
- Maintain inventory control, pour accuracy, stock rotation following FIFO principles, and assist with regular stock counts.
- Accurately input all drink orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash or electronic payments with absolute integrity.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines while upholding strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Bartender and Wine Steward, participating actively in ongoing professional development and training.
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO with credits in English and Mathematics, alongside a recognized professional bartending certificate.
- OND or HND in Hospitality Management, Catering, or a related discipline is considered a strong advantage.
- Must possess a valid professional certification in mixology and responsible alcohol service.
- Demonstrated professional bartending experience of 2 to 4 years within a bustling restaurant, hotel, bar, or lounge setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktail recipes, spirits, beers, and wine varieties.
- Proficient in operating POS systems and managing cash transactions responsibly.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
