About the Role
Akiavic Blue Roof Hotel is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Bar Staff member to join our vibrant hospitality team in Ondo City, Ondo State. Located at 237 Brigadier Ademulegun Road, our family-run boutique hotel prides itself on offering warm, personalized service and memorable guest experiences. In this role, you will be the face of our bar operations, crafting beverages, engaging with guests, and maintaining a clean, inviting atmosphere that reflects the high standards of our establishment. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel standards.
- Welcome guests warmly, take accurate orders, and provide expert recommendations on drink selections.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar area throughout shifts, including washing glassware and restocking supplies.
- Handle cash and electronic payment transactions accurately using the hotel's point-of-sale system.
- Monitor guest consumption and behavior to ensure a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for everyone.
- Manage bar inventory, report stock shortages, and assist with periodic stock counts.
- Provide entertainment support, such as setting up or overseeing snooker facilities when required by guests.
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in hospitality, catering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in a bar, restaurant, or hotel environment is highly advantageous.
- Prior experience with snooker or managing recreational bar games will be considered a strong plus.
- Exceptional communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
