About the Role
We are recruiting a Bar Assistant to join our dynamic team at our premium establishment in Ikoyi, Lagos. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-end hospitality setting where you'll support experienced bartenders, mixologists, and floor staff. You will be instrumental in maintaining seamless bar operations, executing orders efficiently, and delivering exceptional service to discerning guests.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and stock bar stations before service, ensuring all garnishes, ice, syrups, mixers, and glassware are fully available
- Monitor and replenish inventory levels of spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages throughout shifts
- Receive deliveries, unpack stock, and organize storage using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) standards
- Operate commercial glasswashers, polish glassware, and maintain sanitized work areas
- Assist bartenders with order delivery during peak hours and support table clearing and crowd control
- Maintain strict hygiene standards across all bar counters, preparation areas, and work zones
- Track inventory usage, report spillage, and manage waste disposal discreetly
- Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent
- 1–3 years of proven bar assistance, barback, or service experience in Lagos hospitality venues
- Strong physical stamina with ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- High standards of personal hygiene and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Knowledge of bar inventory, beverage preparation, and glassware handling
