About the Role
The Nigerian Navy invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Bandsmen. As a Bandsman, you will play a vital role in ceremonial duties, state functions, and boosting the morale of naval personnel through exceptional musical performances.
Key Responsibilities- Perform musical pieces proficiently during official Nigerian Navy ceremonies, parades, and national events.
- Master and maintain one or more musical instruments to high professional standards.
- Participate regularly in rehearsals, band drills, and tactical training as required by the military.
- Represent the Nigerian Navy with discipline, pride, and professionalism at public engagements and community outreach programs.
- Collaborate with fellow band members to deliver synchronized and melodious musical presentations.
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent with at least 5 credits, including English Language.
- Proven proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments, which will be rigorously tested during the assessment.
- Must be a Nigerian citizen of good character and sound health.
- Possess strong discipline, teamwork skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.
