About the Role
iRecharge Tech-Innovations is a leading internet-powered distribution platform enabling users to seamlessly purchase virtual products and services, including mobile airtime, data, internet subscriptions, pay-TV, and bulk SMS. We are currently seeking a talented and driven Backend Engineer to help us scale our robust transaction infrastructure, enhance our digital banking products, and deliver exceptional value to millions of users across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and high-performance microservices.
- Build secure, robust, and well-documented RESTful APIs to support various third-party integrations and internal features.
- Develop reliable backend solutions specifically supporting digital banking products, payment processing, and high-volume transactions.
- Design, manage, and optimize relational databases while strictly ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software features on schedule.
- Possess 3 to 5 years of professional backend development experience, preferably within the fintech, banking, payments, or digital products sector.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or a comparable modern backend programming language.
- Showcase proven experience building robust RESTful APIs, executing third-party integrations, and managing transaction-based systems.
- Exhibit strong working knowledge and database management skills in PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other enterprise relational databases.
- Hold a relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience.
