We are currently seeking a talented and driven Backend Engineer to join our growing technology team in Nigeria. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the server-side architecture that powers our digital platforms, ensuring high performance, security, and seamless integration with front-end applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to deliver comprehensive digital solutions.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and server response times for maximum speed and reliability.
- Implement robust data security protocols, user authentication, and data protection measures.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in rigorous code reviews.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing backend systems to enhance overall platform functionality.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven professional experience building and deploying robust backend applications and RESTful APIs.
- Strong proficiency in server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go, coupled with database management skills (SQL and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems like Git.
