About the Role
Dangote Cement Plc Obajana is looking for a highly skilled Automation Manager to lead our automation and instrumentation efforts at our production facilities, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out checks related to Siemens Automation panels, Siemens systems, and UPS units.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for automation PCS and related industrial systems.
- Manage the safekeeping of automation spares, prepare purchase requisitions, and follow up procurement.
- Maintain a complete and updated set of drawings, manuals, and bypass registers for the Siemens system.
- Ensure pristine housekeeping across all PLC panels, CCR PC cabinets, and plant guide cabinets.
- Maintain comprehensive records of stoppages and breakdowns associated with automation problems.
- Handle maintenance of plant operating system communications, fiber optic termination, and testing.
- Configure new operator station PCs and maintain QCX Automation and Gamma Matrix (CBX) systems.
- Manage the operations and maintenance of PXP systems, field and Robo-Lab automation, and ARL X-Ray machines.
- Coordinate seamlessly with other plant departments to guarantee optimal facility functionality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in automation and instrumentation management within manufacturing, including 9 years in a modern cement plant.
- Strong technical mastery of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and complex control systems.
- Proven leadership capabilities with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT applications, and relevant professional certifications.
