About the Role

Proforce Limited is a leading total defence solution provider specializing in armoured vehicles and personal protection, delivering confidence in protective mobility across Nigeria and Africa. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Mechanic with strong practical knowledge of automotive engineering and mechanical systems to join our dynamic team at our Ode Remo facility in Ogun State. The successful candidate will play a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining vehicles and automotive components to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety in line with our high manufacturing and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in vehicles and automotive components.
  • Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on vehicles.
  • Inspect engines, transmissions, suspension, braking, steering, cooling, and other mechanical systems.
  • Dismantle, repair, replace, and reassemble defective mechanical components.
  • Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop equipment appropriately.
  • Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, service manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Identify mechanical problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Engineers, Technicians, Welders, Electricians, and other Production/Maintenance personnel.
  • Carry out mechanical adjustments and testing after repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and replaced components.
  • Ensure all work complies with engineering specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Keep the workshop, tools, and equipment clean and properly maintained.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO, NABTEB, Trade Test, or Technical College qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience as an Auto Mechanic, preferably in automobile manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
  • Strong practical knowledge of automotive engineering, engines, transmissions, braking, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.
  • Ability to understand basic engineering drawings, measurements, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in using automotive hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance skills.
  • Physically fit, safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
