About the Role

The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our internal audit team as an Auditor II. Established in March 2024 to address Nigeria's evolving healthcare manpower needs, FUAHSE has rapidly expanded into a dynamic institution comprising six faculties and 17 departments. In this role, you will play a crucial part in upholding fiscal responsibility, transparency, and operational efficiency as we train the next generation of innovative allied health professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and comprehensive financial audits of university accounts, records, and transactions.
  • Evaluate internal control systems to ensure compliance with Nigerian public sector financial regulations and institutional policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate audit reports, highlighting discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
  • Review procurement processes, payroll systems, and asset management procedures to prevent financial leakages.
  • Collaborate with various university departments to promote best practices in financial governance and risk management.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Professional certification or active student membership with recognized bodies such as ICAN, ANAN, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated integrity, strong analytical abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Commitment to the core objectives and values of the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu.
