About the Role
The Churchgate Group, one of Nigeria's most successful and trusted conglomerates, is seeking a seasoned Audit Manager to join our dynamic team in Lagos. In this critical role, you will be responsible for strengthening internal controls and ensuring financial integrity through comprehensive audit planning, revenue assurance, and compliance oversight. You will leverage your extensive expertise to safeguard revenue, control costs, and streamline procurement and facility processes within our expanding real estate and business sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute daily, monthly, and annual risk-based internal audit plans aligned with company policies.
- Audit rent rolls, lease agreements, and commission payouts to guarantee complete and accurate revenue collection.
- Review contractor billings, procurement estimation processes, and budget variances to prevent cost overruns and streamline workflows.
- Establish robust frameworks for managing advances to suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure strict adherence to local real estate laws, lease-related taxes, and property taxes in collaboration with the tax and legal departments.
- Present objective audit findings and actionable remediation plans to executive leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is required; ACA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of internal audit experience, with at least 5 years specifically within the real estate or property management sector.
- Demonstrated proficiency in real estate ERP software and financial systems.
