About the Role
Westcare Specialist Hospital, a trusted healthcare provider established in 1998, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the financial health of our institution, ensuring transparency, and supporting our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitor operational expenses, receivables, payables, and overall cash flow
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances, and other critical financial records
- Review invoices, payment requests, receipts, and financial documents for accuracy
- Handle accurate payroll preparation and disbursement
- Manage tax obligations including PAYE, VAT, and Withholding Tax, ensuring timely remittance
- Possession of a B.Sc. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 4 to 6 years of proven professional accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare sector
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory remittance procedures
