About the Role
Pinnacle Oil & Gas Ltd is a leading indigenous company operating across the entire downstream value chain of the Nigerian oil and gas sector, with a strong emphasis on petroleum trading, marketing, distribution, and retail. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Audit Associate to join our internal audit team. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, you will play a critical role in evaluating internal controls, mitigating risks, and ensuring financial accuracy across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support the internal audit team in the comprehensive planning and execution of audit activities in alignment with the annual audit plan.
- Conduct customer product programming and perform thorough daily and monthly analysis of station reports.
- Execute assigned audit tasks, perform routine spot-check activities, and efficiently resolve audit queries.
- Ensure strict compliance with organizational internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards.
- Review financial documents and records for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Prepare intermediate reports and deliver presentations on audit findings and recommendations to management.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience within an internal audit role or a reputable audit firm.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI, with advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software and applications; experience working in a Microsoft Dynamics environment will be a distinct advantage.
- Good intermediate reporting and presentation skills.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CIMA, or CFA are strongly preferred.
