Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, evidence-based lectures and clinical instruction to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the university's academic reputation.
- Provide expert clinical services and patient care in affiliated teaching hospitals.
- Mentor junior faculty members, resident doctors, and students in academic and professional development.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committee service.
- Maintain active engagement with relevant professional bodies and medical communities.
- Possession of an MBBS or BDS as a first degree from a recognized institution.
- Relevant postgraduate medical qualifications (e.g., FWACS, FNMCP, or equivalent) appropriate for the Associate Professor/Reader rank.
- Demonstrated extensive teaching, research, clinical, and scholarly experience commensurate with the position.
- Strong portfolio of verifiable publications in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body (such as the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria) along with a valid practising licence.
- Proven capacity for effective teaching, academic leadership, mentorship, and institutional service.
