About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a dedicated and accomplished Associate Professor to join the Department of Radiography and Radiation Science within the School of Basic Medical Sciences. As a key member of our academic community, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals through rigorous teaching, groundbreaking research, and community service.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Radiography and Radiation Science.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and secure research grants.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic quality assurance.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to the overall growth of the School of Basic Medical Sciences.
- Engage in community outreach and professional service that enhance the reputation of the university.
- Possession of a PhD in Radiography, Radiation Science, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution.
- A stellar academic background with a First Degree not below a Second-Class Upper Division (or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD).
- Substantial years of tertiary teaching, academic research, and a strong portfolio of peer-reviewed publications.
- Demonstrated ability to attract research funding and collaborate across multidisciplinary academic teams.
