About the Role
Nile University of Nigeria, a leading private multidisciplinary institution established in 2009, seeks a dynamic and experienced Associate Professor of Quantity Surveying. As a member of Honoris United Universities since 2020, we offer a collaborative environment with over 40 undergraduate and 50 postgraduate programmes across eight faculties. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of quantity surveying education and advancing the discipline through innovative teaching and impactful research.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Develop comprehensive curricula and course materials optimized for multiple delivery platforms
- Conduct independent and collaborative research projects with commercial and developmental impact potential
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in their academic pursuits
- Set, assess, and grade assignments, examinations, and student projects to ensure academic standards
- Author and publish research papers, journal articles, and academic texts in reputable outlets
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methodologies and expand disciplinary knowledge
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, conferences, and professional development initiatives
- Maintain current expertise through continuous professional learning and scholarly contribution
- Ph.D. degree with demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and academic administration
- Reader-level status or equivalent professional standing in Quantity Surveying
- Substantial publication record in peer-reviewed journals and academic outlets
- Evidence of successful supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research
- Professional affiliation with relevant regulatory bodies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational abilities and proven time management expertise
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and modern video conferencing platforms
- High standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
