Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate Professor, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the academic standing of the Faculty of Law through comprehensive teaching, research, and administrative leadership.
- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Private and Commercial Law at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research dissertations and theses.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable, peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course design, and academic program evaluations.
- Provide academic leadership, mentor early-career faculty members, and participate in departmental and university-wide committees.
- Engage actively in university community service and contribute to professional legal bodies and national development.
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following rigorous academic and professional standards:
- Possess a Ph.D. in Law with a specialization in Private and Commercial Law from a recognized university.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution, including at least 2 to 4 years as a Senior Lecturer.
- Provide concrete evidence of sustained academic research, publications in reputable outlets, and active academic leadership.
- Show a proven track record of successful postgraduate supervision and mentorship.
- Exhibit active participation in university community activities and professional legal service.
