Federal University Lafia, established in 2011, is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality higher education in Nigeria. Located in the heart of Nasarawa State, our institution features modern facilities, robust academic programmes, and a rapidly expanding academic community. We are currently inviting suitably qualified academics to apply for the prestigious position of Associate Professor within our esteemed Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in teaching, research, and curriculum development within the Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry.
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects as well as Master's and Ph.D. students.
- Contribute significantly to departmental administration, faculty meetings, and university-wide committees.
- Secure research grants and publish high-impact scholarly articles in reputable local and international journals.
- Must currently hold the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent in a recognized university.
- Possess a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry or a closely related relevant field.
- Demonstrate a strong portfolio of outstanding teaching experience and continuous academic achievement.
- Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) scholarly publications in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven track record of successfully supervising postgraduate students at both Master's and Ph.D. levels.
