About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Associate Professor of Music to join our esteemed Department of Arts. In this role, you will lead high-impact academic research, mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contribute significantly to the curriculum development and cultural footprint of the university.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training in music education, theory, and performance to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, master's theses, and doctoral dissertations.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals, and secure research grants.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Contribute to the continuous review and enhancement of the music curriculum to meet global standards.
- Engage in community service and foster partnerships with cultural institutions and the creative industry.
- Must hold a PhD in Music or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must possess a First Degree in Music with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
- Demonstrated substantial years of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience at a tertiary institution.
