We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics to fill the position of Associate Professor in Medical Surgical Nursing within our esteemed College of Nursing Science.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing by developing and updating curriculum content.
- Engage in high-impact teaching, mentoring, and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students.
- Conduct rigorous academic research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable local and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university committees, contributing to institutional growth and accreditation processes.
- Maintain current professional registration and clinical practice standards while fostering community engagement and partnerships.
- Must possess a PhD in Nursing Science or a directly relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Demonstrated strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and evidence of academic leadership and mentorship.
- Proven capacity for postgraduate teaching, grant writing, and academic supervision.
- Must hold current professional nursing registration and possess a valid practising licence.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
