The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and accomplished Associate Professor in Maternal and Child Health Nursing to join our esteemed Department of Nursing Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and instructions to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Maternal and Child Health Nursing.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals, and secure research grants.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
- Participate actively in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committees.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to community outreach programs focused on maternal and child healthcare advancement.
- Collaborate with healthcare institutions and stakeholders to bridge academic theory with clinical nursing practice in Nigeria.
- Must hold a PhD in Nursing or a closely relevant field with a strong specialization in Maternal and Child Health Nursing.
- Must possess a first degree in Nursing not below a Second-Class Upper Division; or a Second-Class Lower Division with a PhD.
- Demonstrate substantial teaching experience at the university level with a proven track record of academic publications.
- Evidence of administrative capability, academic leadership, and grant-writing experience.
- Current registration and active practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
