Greenland University, Jalingo, the premier private university in Taraba State, Nigeria, invites applications from suitably qualified academics for the position of Associate Professor (Finance). We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished finance scholar to join our esteemed Faculty of Social Sciences and Management, contributing to curriculum development, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and pioneering financial research that addresses contemporary economic challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in finance to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish extensively in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Contribute actively to the design, review, and continuous improvement of the finance curriculum.
- Provide academic leadership, mentoring junior faculty members and participating in departmental and faculty meetings.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives aligned with the university's mission.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees as assigned by management.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of 2 years of continuous academic experience as a Senior Lecturer.
- At least 20 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable outlets, including a minimum of 4 publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Demonstrable ICT proficiency and competence in leveraging educational technology for teaching and research.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies within the finance or management sector.
- Mandatory possession of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or valid exemption certificate.
