We are currently seeking a dynamic, accomplished, and visionary Associate Professor of Economics to join our esteemed Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at our campus in Benin City, Edo State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Economics using modern teaching methodologies and technology.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects as well as postgraduate theses at the Master and PhD levels.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish extensively in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Provide robust academic leadership through curriculum development, mentoring junior faculty members, and participating in departmental administration.
- Engage in community service, academic consultancy, and university committee assignments as required.
- Must possess a PhD Degree in Economics or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- A strong, verifiable record of peer-reviewed publications in reputable academic outlets.
- Demonstrated capacity for effective postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and academic mentorship.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern pedagogical delivery.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with evidence of active contribution to the academic community.
