About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria invites qualified academics to join our Economics department as an Associate Professor. Established in 2021, MIU stands as West Africa's landmark institution and the first Indian university on the African continent. Located on a sprawling campus in Masaka, Nasarawa State, strategically positioned along the Federal Capital Territory-Abuja corridor, we are fully accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and approved by the Federal Executive Council. Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver economics courses aligned with international academic standards
- Conduct original research and publish findings in peer-reviewed scholarly journals
- Mentor and supervise postgraduate and undergraduate students
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic program improvements
- Engage in community outreach and knowledge dissemination
- Participate in departmental and institutional committees and initiatives
- Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum 10 publications in peer-reviewed scholarly journals
- At least 8 years of teaching, research, and relevant professional experience in a university setting
- Strong track record of academic excellence and research productivity
- Demonstrated commitment to mentoring and student development
