About the Role
Discovering Talents Academy (DTA) offers first-class education from Preschool to Primary levels, utilizing a blended Nigerian-British curriculum. We are currently seeking a passionate and innovative Coding and Robotics Instructor to join our vibrant academic community. In this role, you will inspire primary school pupils to explore the exciting worlds of programming, engineering, and digital creation, ensuring individualized learning and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in coding languages such as Scratch, Python, and mobile app development.
- Instruct pupils in robotics, covering car robots, smart devices, home automation, and microcontroller basics.
- Guide students through the complete project lifecycle, from ideation and design to building, testing, and debugging.
- Implement DTA's individualized teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and technical proficiencies.
- Design fair assessments, track project progress, and prepare comprehensive reports for parents.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and stimulating environment in the coding and robotics labs.
- Prepare pupils for internal and external STEM competitions, coding clubs, and science fairs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching coding and robotics to children at the primary school level.
- Proficiency in hardware components like Arduino and software platforms like Scratch and Python.
