About the Role
The Federal University Lafia invites dynamic and accomplished academic leaders to apply for the position of Associate Professor in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics within the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences. Established in 2011, our institution is dedicated to academic excellence, innovative research, and expanding access to quality university education in Nigeria. As a senior academic, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of medical professionals, driving impactful research initiatives, and contributing to the dynamic growth of our College of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise Master and Ph.D. research students, fostering a culture of rigorous academic inquiry and scientific discovery.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish scholarly articles in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic program enhancement within the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties, committees, and community engagement initiatives.
- Must currently hold the rank of Associate Professor or be an eligible senior academic ready for progression.
- Possess a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacology, Therapeutics, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrate a strong portfolio of teaching experience within a recognized tertiary university setting.
- Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) scholarly publications in reputable national and international journals.
- Proven track record of successfully supervising postgraduate students at both Master and Ph.D. levels.
