We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Associate Professor in Clinical Chemistry to join the esteemed faculty of our College of Medical Laboratory Science and contribute to our expanding academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Clinical Chemistry within the College of Medical Laboratory Science.
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and secure external research grants.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement in line with NUC guidelines.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committee assignments and administrative duties.
- Mentor junior academic staff and foster a culture of scholarly excellence and Christian values.
- Must possess a PhD in Clinical Chemistry or a closely related relevant discipline.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- A robust portfolio of peer-reviewed publications in reputable local and international journals.
- Proven capacity for postgraduate teaching, mentorship, and thesis supervision.
- Demonstrated evidence of academic leadership, administrative capability, and institutional service.
- Proficiency in ICT-driven teaching and learning methodologies.
- Current professional registration and a valid practising licence with relevant regulatory bodies.
