About the Role
Greenland University, Jalingo is the first private university established in Taraba State, Nigeria. Founded by the former Acting Governor of Taraba State, Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi, the institution operates under the motto "Knowledge for Self-Reliance". We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Associate Professor of Biotechnology to join our esteemed Faculty of Science and Computing.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Biotechnology and related disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and secure external research grants.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental administrative duties.
- Mentor junior academic staff and participate in community service initiatives.
- PhD in Biotechnology or a closely related relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of continuous academic experience as a Senior Lecturer.
- At least 20 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable outlets, including a minimum of 4 publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
- Demonstrated ICT proficiency and competence in digital learning tools.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies.
- Possession of a mandatory NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
