About the Role
Independent Project Monitoring Company Limited (IPMC) is a leading firm of professional consultants specializing in the oil and gas, infrastructure, and building sectors. We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Associate Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will support civil and structural engineering design, technical assurance, and efficient project delivery with a strong focus on structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and analysis of various foundation systems, including bored, driven, and CFA piles, as well as raft foundations.
- Interpret geotechnical investigation reports and recommend suitable foundation systems for complex projects.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Supervise piling and foundation works on-site to ensure strict adherence to engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor pile installation processes, including load testing and integrity testing, while coordinating with contractors and geotechnical engineers.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation for civil and structural engineering works.
- Ensure all site operations comply with local regulations, COREN standards, and internal Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-NYSC professional experience in civil engineering.
- Compulsory possession of professional engineering registration with NSE and COREN.
- Proven hands-on experience in structural design, piling, and execution of deep foundation works.
- Strong working knowledge of soil mechanics, geotechnical principles, and foundation design software such as PLAXIS, SAFE, or ETABS.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering design tools.
