About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Associate 2 to strengthen our growing Litigation and Compliance practice in Nigeria. In this role, you will manage complex legal workstreams, draft high-stakes pleadings, and navigate intricate regulatory frameworks with increasing autonomy while contributing to our legacy of legal excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Draft comprehensive court pleadings, motions, affidavits, written addresses, legal opinions, and dispute-resolution correspondence.
- Conduct thorough legal and regulatory research, preparing clear, actionable analysis for senior partners and clients.
- Represent the firm in court appearances, manage court filings, and meticulously track litigation schedules and statutory deadlines.
- Assist with corporate compliance reviews, regulatory filings, obtaining licenses, and liaising with relevant government authorities in Nigeria.
- Manage multiple matter dependencies, maintain accurate case records, and proactively escalate critical issues.
- Participate actively in the firm's quality-control processes, responding constructively to supervisory reviews.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates on assigned tasks and legal assignments.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of active post-qualification legal experience (PQE) within a reputable Nigerian law firm.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional legal drafting, advocacy, and research skills combined with strict procedural discipline.
- Proven ability to manage diverse dockets simultaneously under tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professional confidence, sound legal judgment, and robust follow-through.
