Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior technical staff in the setup, maintenance, and operation of laboratory and workshop equipment.
  • Provide reliable technical support during practical classes, demonstrations, and examinations for National Diploma and Higher National Diploma students.
  • Ensure proper inventory management, routine servicing, and safety compliance of tools and machinery within assigned departmental workshops.
  • Collaborate with academic and technical teams to prepare materials and setups required for daily instructional and research activities.
  • Troubleshoot minor technical faults and report major malfunctions promptly to ensure minimal disruption to academic schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and stock levels in adherence to institutional standards.
  • Perform any other related technical duties as assigned by the Head of Department or supervising officer.

Qualifications
  • Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent in a relevant technical, engineering, or applied science discipline from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum grade of Lower Credit is strictly required for this position.
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of workshop safety procedures and technical equipment maintenance.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse academic and technical team.
  • Basic computer literacy for digital record-keeping and inventory management.
