About the Role
APM Terminals is looking for a skilled Assistant Security Manager – Systems & Technology to support the management, optimization, and continuous improvement of our electronic security systems. In this critical role, you will ensure our security technology remains reliable, secure, compliant, and fully aligned with operational requirements across our dynamic port facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert technical support for CCTV, video management systems, access control, alarms, and associated security infrastructure.
- Administer and optimize Milestone video management platforms to support operational safety and investigative needs.
- Manage Gallagher access control systems, overseeing access provisioning, permissions, compliance reporting, and regular system audits.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, hardware upgrades, system testing, and prompt fault resolution activities.
- Collaborate closely with internal IT teams to maintain robust network connectivity, cybersecurity controls, and infrastructure resilience.
- Support major security technology projects, including new installations, system integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and provide training to security personnel and end users.
- Recognized qualification in electronic security, information technology, networking, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience supporting integrated electronic security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control solutions.
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with Milestone video management systems and Gallagher access management platforms.
- Solid understanding of network engineering, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity risks, and secure system configurations.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 principles and their application within technical and operational security environments.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, project coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
