About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria invites qualified academics to join our Software Engineering department as an Assistant Lecturer. Established in 2021 as Africa's first Indian university, MIU bridges world-class Indian pedagogical traditions with Nigeria's dynamic technology sector. Located on a modern campus in Masaka, Nasarawa State, along the FCT-Abuja corridor, MIU is fully approved by the Federal Executive Council and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in software engineering courses
- Mentor and guide undergraduate and postgraduate students in their academic pursuits
- Conduct research and contribute to scholarly publications in software engineering
- Develop and update curriculum aligned with industry standards and best practices
- Participate in departmental committees and academic planning initiatives
- Supervise student projects and capstone research work
- Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Bachelor's Degree with Second Class Upper Division (minimum 3.5 GPA) in a relevant field
- Minimum two (2) published scholarly articles in recognized academic journals
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices
- Excellent communication and teaching abilities
- Commitment to continuous professional development
