The Federal University Lafia is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and academically driven professional to join our esteemed Department of Public Administration as an Assistant Lecturer. As an Assistant Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging lectures, mentoring undergraduate students, and contributing to the intellectual growth of the university through impactful research and academic publications.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive undergraduate lectures, seminars, and tutorials in various courses within the Public Administration curriculum.
- Design, update, and evaluate course materials, syllabi, and assessment methods in alignment with university standards.
- Mentor, advise, and supervise undergraduate students on academic performance, career paths, and research projects.
- Conduct original, high-quality research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and committee meetings, contributing to curriculum development and academic administration.
- Collaborate with colleagues on community engagement initiatives and institutional development projects.
- Possession of a good Second Class Honours Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Must possess a Master's degree in Public Administration or a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and scholarly publishing.
