About the Role
Federal University Lafia is seeking a dedicated and academically driven Assistant Lecturer in Procurement Management to join our esteemed faculty. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to advancing academic excellence, impactful research, and high-quality tertiary education in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate instruction, fostering critical thinking, and contributing to the vibrant intellectual community of our Nasarawa State campus.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Procurement Management and related disciplines to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in line with modern academic standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic assignments.
- Participate in student academic advising, mentoring, and career guidance.
- Contribute to departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties, committees, and community service initiatives.
- Possession of a good Second Class Honours Bachelor degree in Procurement Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- A Master degree in Procurement Management or a closely related field is strictly required.
- Demonstrated potential for teaching, academic research, and scholarly publications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as CIPS or CIPSMN will be an added advantage.
