The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Lecturer to join our esteemed Department of Physiotherapy within the School of Basic Medical Sciences. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in physiotherapy and related medical sciences.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials, teaching aids, and assessment tools in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
  • Supervise undergraduate student research projects, clinical placements, and academic field activities.
  • Conduct rigorous academic research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to departmental research goals.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings as well as academic administrative duties.
  • Mentor students and provide academic counseling to support their professional and personal development.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division with a completed PhD.
  • A Master's degree in Physiotherapy or a closely related discipline, with a PhD currently in progress.
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching potential, pedagogical competence, and active research engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills suitable for an academic environment.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional regulatory body in Nigeria.
