About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria, the first Indian university established on the African continent, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Lecturer in Physiology to join our esteemed faculty. Located on our sprawling campus in Masaka, Nasarawa State, along the Abuja corridor, MIU is fully approved by the Federal Executive Council and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). As an Assistant Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of future healthcare and science professionals through engaging classroom instruction, innovative curriculum delivery, and impactful research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Physiology.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Mentor and advise students on academic performance, research projects, and career development.
- Engage in continuous academic research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development committees, and university-wide academic events.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to foster a vibrant, research-driven academic community.
- Possess a Master's degree in Physiology or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division in a relevant discipline.
- Must have a minimum of 2 scholarly journal publications in reputable academic outlets.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching, student mentorship, and academic research.
