We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Assistant Lecturer in Physiology to contribute to our dynamic Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive undergraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Human Physiology.
- Design, update, and evaluate course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in line with NUC standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and laboratory activities.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and academic events.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to ensure holistic development.
- Perform administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department to support overall institutional growth.
- Possess a Master of Science (M.Sc.) or equivalent degree in Physiology from a recognized and accredited university.
- A Ph.D. or ongoing registration for a Ph.D. program in Physiology will be considered a strong added advantage.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the tertiary education level with a strong commitment to pedagogical excellence.
- Evidence of active academic research and publications in reputable local and international journals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills suited for a diverse student body.
