You will engage in impactful teaching, innovative research, and active mentorship of undergraduate students in Nigeria, helping to bridge the gap between traditional medicine and modern pharmaceutical practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmacognosy and Traditional Medicines to undergraduate students.
  • Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in alignment with national and global academic standards.
  • Conduct high-quality research in the fields of pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, and the standardization of traditional African medicines.
  • Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic field trips.
  • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Contribute to community engagement initiatives and promote the integration of safe traditional medicine practices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Pharmacognosy, Traditional Medicines, or a closely related pharmaceutical science discipline from a recognized university.
  • Demonstrated potential or proven track record in academic research and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills suited for higher education.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) is an added advantage.
