About the Role
The Federal University Lafia was established in February 2011 with the mandate to increase access and quality of university education in Nigeria. Located in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, the institution boasts a dynamic academic environment comprising multiple faculties, a College of Medicine, and robust undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are currently looking for a passionate and qualified Assistant Lecturer to join our esteemed Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology to undergraduate students.
- Assist senior academic staff in curriculum development, course material preparation, and academic innovation.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the university research output.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and academic events.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, assignments, and industrial training attachments.
- Provide academic counseling, mentoring, and guidance to students to support their overall academic success.
- Possession of a good Second Class Honours Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a closely related relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Must hold a Master degree in the relevant academic discipline.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) where applicable.
