We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Assistant Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry to join our vibrant Faculty of Pharmacy in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of pharmacy professionals by delivering engaging lectures, conducting impactful research, and mentoring aspiring students within a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive undergraduate lectures and laboratory practicals in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and related pharmacy courses.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum in alignment with accredited academic standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, academic assignments, and laboratory activities.
- Engage in continuous scholarly research, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide academic events.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to support their personal and professional growth.
- Possess a Master degree (M.Sc. or M.Pharm.) or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- A Ph.D. in progress or completed will be an added advantage.
- Relevant teaching, research, or industry experience within a tertiary institution or pharmaceutical setting.
- Registration with the relevant professional body, such as the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), where applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively to diverse student groups.
